My Resume

Danny Taylor has been self-employed since 1999, building a career rooted in creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship. While he does not have a traditional resume, his accomplishments speak for themselves. In the late 1990s, he studied computer science and web development at Howard Community College in Columbia, Maryland. Beyond that, he is a self-taught artist and writer, continually refining his skills through hands-on experience and personal exploration.

Mr. Taylor excels at creating original brands, developing unique stories, and bringing bold ideas to life. He has a natural gift for invention and enjoys building concepts from the ground up—whether it’s a business, a book, or a creative project.

Below are just a few of the brands and works he’s developed over the past 25 years:

~ 2025 ~

On July 4, 2025, he published Blackwater College and the Heart of the Hollow, a gripping historical fantasy set in 1706 Virginia. The story brings together legendary figures like Grace Sherwood (the Pungo Witch) and Edward Teach (Blackbeard) in a haunting, magical narrative that captures the mystique of early colonial America.

Mr. Taylor opened a second VA Vintage store in Virginia Beach, VA, in April 2025. The location showcases more than 220 curated vintage and locally made artisan vendors, furthering his vision of community-driven creativity and style


~ 2024 ~

In March 2024, Mr. Taylor co-founded VA Vintage, an upscale vintage marketplace located in Chesapeake, VA. The store features over 45 local vendors, offering a thoughtfully curated mix of vintage goods, antiques, and artisan creations.


~ 2023 ~


Danny wrote "Wanted on the Outer Banks" 1, 2, and 3 in 2023. "Wanted on the Outer Banks" is a psychological thriller book series about a mysterious serial killer on the Outer Banks. Book #4 is in progress!

He also wrote 'Salt Monsters: Finhead Lives' in 2023.


~ 2022 ~


Mr. Taylor established NC Vintage Thrift in Moyock, North Carolina, in November 2022.


~ 2020 ~


In 2020, Danny created "Salt Monsters," the first comic based on the Outer Banks.


~ 2014 ~


In 2014, Mr. Taylor established 2FIVE2 as the competitor to the "OBX" brand while operating from his inaugural retail store, "The Jelly Lounge," in Kitty Hawk, NC. He also founded his second company 2FIVE2, LLC in North Carolina.


~ 2012 ~


In 2011, Danny created Klutter Bug, an app designed to simplify your daily social media consumption. The project is currently seeking funding.

In 2011, Mr. Taylor invented My Social Rankings (MSR), a ranking app that rewards people for being social. Unfortunately, this project was put on hold after he settled with Zynga in a trademark lawsuit, Blingville vs. Zynga.

In 1999, Mr. Taylor founded his first company, WebsiteGrowers.com, in Columbia, Maryland.
